We spent three days in Quito Ecuador. On the second day we opted to climb Cotopaxi Volcano. The Glacier on Cotopaxi Volcano [#9] begins at 14 thousand feet. There is a base camp at 15, 748 feet [4800 meters] [#8] where climbers prepare for the final accent. The air is so thin at 15 thousand feet that is feels like your intoxicated.
From Quito we flew to Guayaquil then to the Galapagos Islands. At sea level, we visited Kicker Rock[#3], where thousands of birds nest. We climbed up a dormant volcano on Bartolome Island where we took pictures of Pinnacle Rock [#12]. Later in the day we snorkeled under the cone of Pinnacle Rock. We took a rest in front of Darwin's lake [#1]. Then we summited a volcano on Fernandina [#4]. Just when we thought we could not take one more step, we heard a baby sea lion cry. We grabbed our gear and ran to her [#2]
